Heading out to the gym the other morning, just before sunrise, I was struck by the simple and yet beautiful arrangement of the kids’ soccer shoes, near the front door so mud wouldn’t be tracked into the home.
I couldn’t leave without shooting it — so I went in to the office, grabbed a camera and a 35mm lens and made these photos.
I couldn’t leave without trying it with a slightly longer focal length lens (a 55 1.8).
In the end, the original thought was the correct thought. But I’m glad I tried both, there were slight differences, but I liked this one better.
