Even though it’s hot and sticky weather, I am drawn to photographing storm clouds because they are dramatic.
This storm cell was viewed looking to the east from Ladera Ranch late Friday afternoon. I was running an errand near home, saw the clouds and then dashed home to quickly grab a camera and lens to capture it.
The storm didn’t get that close to us, but in adjacent Riverside county, the weather certainly had a powerful effect.
Even today we’re still feeling this heat wave, monsoon moisture and are heading down to the beach in hopes it will be a bit cooler.
