This morning the group Ladera Hope held a rally to draw volunteers to help get out the word about the proposed peaker power plant that is scheduled for construction just outside Ladera Ranch. Nicki and I only heard about this project on December 12th last year, as did numerous residents. On Dec. 19th a packed town meeting took place where nearly 500 residents expressed concern about the proposed project, which many feel was only minimally disclosed to the public. Nicki and I are contributors to Ladera Hope and support their goal of getting SDG&E and Wellhead to relocate the proposed plant and place it in an area away from any residents. I urge any Ladera resident to find out more about the organization here
