Now that the days are longer, and a little bit warmer and spring is officially here, so are the Friday afternoon gatherings at the local gazebo.
The gazebo brings out the neighbors and the kids and it’s a very informal, relaxed, end-of-the-week festivity and even attacts friends who live outside of our little enclave.
Jillian (left) and Kate (center) head to greet me after safely crossing the street as the late afternoon side light creates interesting shadows. Jillian is part of Kate’s little “posse” and they have known each other since they were weeks old. They get along, their subsequent siblings all get along, and the parents get along. It’s been a great little extended “family” created by the birth of our little ones.
